Thanks to the Ladurner Remedia Division, the Group can claim it was one of the first companies to start remediation activities in Italy in the early 1990s.
More recently, Ladurner has delivered important public and private remediation projects and until 2018 it was the majority shareholder of Rem-Tec S.r.l., a company that operates in the remediation and treatment of contaminated sites with a main plant in Merano (Bolzano).
To date the Division has finalised contracts worth in total around €30 million.
In recent years, Ladurner Remedia has been focusing on two market demands: plants to treat contaminated land and innovative technologies to remediate complex sites.
To meet these needs, Ladurner Remedia has developed a number of remediation technologies (Deep Soil Mixing, Thermal Desorption and other on-site treatments) and has designed and built its own plant for the remediation of land and other waste accumulated by the Municipality of Mira (Venice). The plant is expected to open by the end of 2022.
“Finding the right balance between environmental improvements and negative impacts and saving natural and financial resources is the great challenge of this market defined by complex regulations that at times can be hard to interpret. Our objective is sustainable remediation with balanced solutions that use next generation technology.” (Lorenz San Nicolò, REMEDIATION BU Manager)
